One of our favorite projects at the Transhuman House is PlantSat1 – Growing a plant in space simulating Mars conditions. “PlantSat is a contribution to the ongoing human efforts of exploring, understanding and eventually colonizing Mars. Its goal is to study in low earth orbit the growth of a suitable plant, replicating the conditions that life will experience on Mars’ surface. These conditions include low gravity force and high solar radiation. Continue reading “PLANTSAT1 – Simulated Martian Environment”
An Altruistic Business, an institute, a museum of the future as we design it and a new home for the transhuman house… all of this is the part of the following ‘business’ plan.
One of our most exciting projects is for the Foundation Retreat (different than the Foundations Retreat they had recently at the Transhuman House) which would include a new version of the transhuman house. One of the goals of the Transhuman House is to study how people deal with living in small homes. The type you might see in a high-density high-tech project such as the New Vistas Communities, in part sponsored by Hall Labs. At the Transhuman House, we are asking guests to fill out a study form about their experience and we hope to collect the data over time to better understand the dynamics of these kinds of living environments.
