This initial version of the house is about learning what works, what’s new and bringing resources together, building experiences and otherwise moving the various transhuman projects forward and the Foundation’s vision for the future. Working with local organizations such as the MTA or the New Vistas Communities, there is a lot we want to accomplish here. The image here is already grossly outdated and new features and modifications are always being added. Continue reading “360 View Tour – Version TR.01”
Transhuman Book Collection
The Foundation Library at the Transhuman House is organized by collection. While some of those collections are not Transhuman specific, there are two collections that are specific to transhumanists. The first is the Transhuman Collection and the other is Transhumanist Fiction.
Books Of The Foundation Library
More than just a resource, the Foundation Library has a number of important collections that are accessible at the Transhuman House. While the real purpose of the library is to preserve knowledge and that key facility is still kept private, the public collections are here for educational purposes and to support related research both technical and cultural. The Key Collections at the Transhuman House are important, as they related to Transhumanism and Educating people on transhumanism and getting people to think about future.
H+ Pedia Listing the Transhuman House
(27 June 2017) H+Pedia has listed the Transhuman House on their Transhuman Wikipedia. IF you are not familiar with H+Pedia, you should be; as it is the quintessential resource on everything Transhumanist related. From the hpluspedia.org site:
A Dead Drop file server…
While we can’t take responsibility for it, someone has installed a digital dead drop in the front yard of the Transhuman House. You might say our apple tree supports USB 2.0; but use at your own risk as you ever know what might be on it. The Dead Drop peer to peer network is a network of real life dead drop file locations around the world.
Entirely Engineered Food – Soylent
Given some of us working on the Transhuman House are fans of Soylent, we reached out to them and asked if they would be interested in helping with the project and as it turns out they were. We are excited to welcome them as a Sponsor. That being said, what is ‘Soylent’ and why did we want something like this at the Transhuman House for Guests to try?
Transhuman Home Evening
While the Transhuman Home is purely about secular transhumanism, we thought, given our location, it would be fun name our weekly volunteer night after a popular Mormon cultural thing called “Family Home Evening”. I apologize to any Mormons offended by our Tuesday night Transhuman Home Evening but there it is.
High Tech, High Density Study
One of the goals of the Transhuman House is to study how people deal with living in small homes. The type you might see in a high-density high-tech project such as the New Vistas Communities, in part sponsored by Hall Labs. At the Transhuman House, we are asking guests to fill out a study form about their experience and we hope to collect the data over time to better understand the dynamics of these kinds of living environments.
Nootropics and Thrivous – At The Transhuman House
Last MTA meeting I went to I was speaking with Lincoln Cannon about his new company “Thrivious” and their Nootropic stack.
I have been taking a Nootropic stack for some time and have read a lot of material on them. I’ve tried tDCS along with it and Nootropics like Piracetam and Aniracetam on top of the regular Continue reading “Nootropics and Thrivous – At The Transhuman House”
NFC at the Transhuman House
At the Transhuman House and the Library NFC is used to launch digital bits of information. For example, there is the picture of the Internal in the main room and on the picture, there is an NFC chip that when scanned opens up a web page to the interval on the Long Now. All throughout the displays are NFC chips and QR codes that launch informational pages about the topic in which they are labeled or applied.
