We are actually starting to build up a bit of a shipment in the Seattle archive to send to the Transhuman House in Provo. Amoung things we were able to recover this digital painting done for the Transhuman House by Artist Richard Dover. Additionally, though we have an illuminated copy of Isaac’s Newtons book “Opticks” as well as his three-volume set of books on the mathematics of ‘Natural Philosophy’. One of the great things is that there is always new things to explore at the Transhuman House.
Transhumanist Artist – Blaire Ostler
Recently a transhumanist artist named Blaire Ostler donated a painting from her collection of work she has done. Blaire among many things has been featured in art shows and paints in oil. Worlds Without End – Oil On Relief
We had another art piece acquired and put into the Transhuman House. A great oil relief called ‘Worlds Without End’ by the Artist Karl Hale. Karl is a local to the Transhuman House member of the MTA (Mormon Transhumanist Association). Art and Science
The art collection has been growing with new digital art, paintings and prints and a large framed poster of cognitive biases of the human brain. Another local artist actually did a digital painting just for the transhuman house that is only digital, plus art for the Architect room and PostHuman Suite. A new digital frame was moved to the PostHuman Suite and we are working on an elevator archive system using IoT winches to hide away in the ceiling. Continue reading “Art and Science”
The Apotheosis of Washington
Probably one of the earliest arguably transhuman pieces of art is “The Apotheosis of Washington” painted on the inside of the US Capitol building dome. It is a traditional piece and arguably important historically. Recently, a print of this painting was donated to the Transhumanist Art Collection at the Transhuman House. Dystopian Futurist Art At the Transhuman House.
In an effort to showcase high-end Art related to the future, or dystopian futures and related genres, we are showcasing at the Transhuman House art that is along those related lines. Currently, our Artist we are showcasing is a local Artist named Shane Flox, that works in a mixed oil on canvas medium and uses that as the basis for digital works. There are two large format oil paintings with multilayered symbolism on display and we included some of the digital art created from those paintings here.
